Thermal Transfer Barcode Ribbon (Wax Type)
Description
Barcode ribbon is used to print barcodes and numbering, logos, text, symbols, etc. Today, Barcode technologies have helped businesses minimize data printing errors, speed up the labeling process, and reduce cost.
There are 2 types of barcode printer technologies categorized by the type of print head:
- Flathead – for normal speed printing
- Near edge – for high-speed printing
Best applied when scratch resistance and durability are not required but the cost is the primary concern.
Wax Barcode is commonly used for standard applications on a wide variety of label stocks. It is composed of a high percentage of wax-based materials with a low melting point that reduces printhead energy output, thereby extending the printhead’s lifespan.
